Bathroom sinks are made from many different materials, including stainless steel, enamel over steel, ceramic, marble, plastic, stone, copper, glass, granite and others.

There is room for choice.

Sinks generally have faucets that supply hot and cold water and may include a spray feature to be used for faster rinsing. They also include a drain to remove used water. This drain might have an integrated shut off device and an overflow prevention device.

Bathroom sinks come in different styles.

Self-rimming (top-mount): Top-mount sinks are placed in a hole in the counter top and suspended by their rim on the edge of the hole.

Bottom-mount or under-mount sinks are installed below the countertop surface and clamped to the edge of the countertop hole from below. The edge of the counter top hole is exposed and the counter top surface is totally flat with a contemporary look.

A vessel sink is a free-standing sink, which can be finished and decorated on all sides, that sits directly on the surface of the furniture on which it is mounted. These sinks have become very popular because of the large range of materials, styles and finishes they can can display with good advantage.

A pedestal sink is a sink sitting on a single leg. Very popular, many variations exist.

An old, stained or outdated sink detracts greatly from the décor of any bathroom. You can easily update your bathroom sink for a low price.
